Desire

Most people limit their lives by censoring their desires.
Don't censor them:
allow yourself to own what it is you really want.
The desire is telling you something.
If the desire is appropriate,
your owning it paves a path for its manifestation.
If not, owning it is also necessary
so you can surrender it for transformation.
Live in the excitement
of being pregnant with the life you truly want.

Your Right To Be You

...Giving up is not the answer.  Neither is giving in.

Stand your ground.
There is a way of doing that without having to be
combative. There is a way of hanging on to your true self,
and demonstrating it, without resorting to aggression.
But giving up and giving in is not the way.

Simply and quietly claiming
your right to be You
is the way.

The Truth Will Set You Free

The truth not only sets you free
it slays all dragons,
banishes all fears,
connects all dots,
and casts a brand new spell
over those who've yet to see you as I do.

... dwell in truth,
and you will literally start to glow.

Celebration

It's been my privilege over the last several months
to document in pictures the ever expanding evolution of the music team
that blesses those of us who attend Unity Church of The Hills here in Austin.

In December I got a few shots of the girly part of Celebration
- better known as Full Circle...

I've photographed the choir as they prepared for a performance
at the Grand Marshall Ceremony at Pride in June.

I stage managed the Grand Marshall event at the Long Center Dell Hall
(and snapped one of Patrice Pike, Celebration and the Choir
on my cell phone from backstage whilst calling the show)

Still...
Nothing compares to the energy
these talented people
bring back to their church home
when they prepare for the annual concert

No, but really...

They shine

and glow

and lift our spirits

And So It Is

Ok... back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Cat Out of The Bag

Been thinking
of letting
the cat out of the bag.

What's Right For You

You're the only person
who knows what's right for you.
The only one.
And if you already know what this is,
commit to it.
If you don't,
commit to nothing.
Only you know.

What You Do

We interrupt your regularly scheduled blog
to bring you a few photos from "Just Bee."
I didn't take these.
I was bizzy beeeing in the production.

Acting is a little something I'm passionate about
alongside photography.

Every once in awhile
all the elements of
a theatrical production
come together at the same time.
One can't say that about many productions.
But in the case of "Just Bee" it can be said.

wrote a fabulous script,
gave us a gorgeous production design
directed brilliantly
(well, there was that one day...)
and the talent,
Michelle Keffer
(David Meissner and his lovely bride Rachel McGinnis Meisner)
was bee-riffic

I had a ball.

Just feeling blessed to bee
part of such a talented, creative group

"When you say, ’I enjoy doing this or that’,
it is really a misperception.
It makes it appear that the joy comes from what you do,
but that is not the case.
Joy does not come from what you do,
it flows into what you do
and thus into this world from deep within you."

Patience

No road is too long
for him who advances slowly and does not hurry,
and no attainment
is beyond his reach
who equips himself with patience to achieve it.

The Light of Truth

If you would see everything
filtered through the light of truth
you'd never again
know sadness, lack or limits.

Thank You

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was,
'thank you,' that would suffice.

I Am Your Mirror

We are pain and what cures pain, both.

We are the sweet cold water and the jar that pours.

I want to hold you close like a lute,

so that we can cry out with loving.

Would you rather throw stones at a mirror?

I am your mirror and here are the stones."

The Infinite Plan

"When I had nothing left,
I discovered I didn’t feel depressed, I felt free.
I realized that the most important thing was not,
as I had imagined,
to survive or be successful;
the most important thing was the search for my soul,
which I had left behind in the quicksand of my childhood.
When I found it,
I learned that the power I had wasted
such desperate energy to gain had always been inside me.
I was reconciled with myself,
I accepted myself with a touch of kindness,
and then, and only then,
was rewarded with my first glimpse of peace.
I think that was the precise instant
I became aware of who I truly am,
and at last felt in control of my destiny.”

Right Action

 Do you have the patience

to wait until your mud settles,

and the water is clear?

Can you remain unmoving

until the right action arises by itself?

Discovery

When anything touches or enters your body
Never say it is not God, for He is
Just trying to get close.

I have no use for divine patience -- my lips are always
Burning and everywhere. I am running from every corner
Of this world and sky wanting to kiss you;

I am every particle of dust and wheat -- you and I
Are ground from His Own Body. I am rioting at your door;
I am spinning in midair like golden falling leaves
Trying to win your glance.

I am sweetly rolling against your walls and your shores
~Hafiz
